Dear Clanner,

Happy New Year! On behalf DigiClan I wish you a spectacular 2023.

2022 was an eventful year for us in DigiClan. Thank you for being a part of us. The highlight of our year, the recent DigiClan conference EarthToMars was a success that showed the promise of bigger things to come.

In 2023, it’s my place as Acting President to let you know the desires of the Leading group, DigiClan Primes and our convener. Our key focus for the coming year is growth, for our community and its members.

As you may well know DigiClan was set up to make learning and career growth possible through our ‘each one teach one’ model. We started with this, and grew strong with it. We intend to continue and we want you to join in. 

A few things to note:

1. Our Identity is evolving

We are expanding! Our reach and impact has rippled outside of Africa and it seems the world is ready for DigiClan.

For this reason, we are changing our name, taking out “Africa” to reflect that we are a global community. We will now be called DigiClan. This means we will be starting more communities in Diaspora. This is exciting for us.

2. Community Growth

As we have collapsed our main active communities, we are looking to grow locally, within Africa and outside it.

Currently, we have the following DigiClan communities active;

• DigiClan North Hub
• DigiClan South South
• DigiClan SouthWest
• DigiClan Campus
• DigiClan East Africa
• DigiClan Ghana
• DigiClan Lagos

We are very eager to explore other areas of Africa and the Diaspora.

We have put together our DigiClan community set-up manual, if you want to set up a community, please reach out and we will have someone contact you and walk you through the requirements.

3. Capacity Building & Growth

This year we had 16 masterclasses (all of which are available on our YouTube page). This year we want to do at least 4 times of that and that’s where you come in. Yes YOU! You’re the person we need. The things you know, just the way you know it may be what a newbie or another person needs. If it makes you feel better, we won’t call it teaching, we’ll call it sharing.

So we will be putting together a list of people who will be sharing their knowledge. If you want to sign up, please reach out.

4. Partnerships

We have partnered with global brands and local brands to support your career and professional development. We will unveil these as we kickstart. 

2023 is going to be exciting, join us as we take over the world.
